Focusing on education has led to 5 churches, mostly in village settings, to start primary schools.  These schools are catering to students who cannot travel the long walk to the closest school or cannot pay the required fee for the public school.  This requires the church to have structures to house the classes, teachers and supplies and to provide a meal for the students.  There are over 700 students learning from these schools and several teachers are volunteering because funding is not available.  These financial challenges need our assistance.  Every child desires an education and when interviewed about the happiest day they could remember, replied, “The day I found out I could go to school.”  You can change a life by a donation today.

Promise Kids A Future has supported many students with an education through sponsors who have responded to this need.  To find out more about how you can sponsor a child go to

Focusing on education has also led the Wesleyan Church of Uganda to begin discussion with the Namayingo District about developing a vocational school in that district.  Many students drop out of school after primary 7 because they can’t afford the fees and yet they have little possibility of employment without further training.  Vocational training will give them income producing skills and a means for improving their future and the community at large.  This school will not only emphasize vocational skills but is intended to develop the whole person through faith development and character building.  Personal self-worth is lost when life has no greater purpose.

FOCUS on Uganda is in the process of raising funds for the infrastructure of this campus.  Six acres have been purchased and a site plan is being developed.  Dormitories, classrooms, administration building, workshop spaces, dining hall and chapel are all needed to see that the Wesleyan Vocational Institute Namayingo becomes a reality.  Donations for this project will change more lives than you can imagine.
