Focusing on providing food for families, widows and orphans, is the challenge for all in rural Uganda.  Most everyone is a peasant farmer which means they grow what they eat and sometimes sell a little for other necessities.  Improvement of the soil, water conservation and disposal of waste are all areas where training is greatly needed. Sometimes children are not able to go to school because they are helping the family with some of these chores as well as going for water.

Animals, such as cows, pigs and chickens, are all income producing possibilities but again training in how to feed and care for these animals, as well as the initial cost of setting them up needs assistance.  Besides the income, these animals would contribute greatly to the nutritional needs of the family.  Poor health and poor hygiene lead to many preventable diseases.  Teams go at various times to help address some of these issues.  These will also be areas confronted by the vocational school.  Assistance with any of these projects will be a blessing to so many.
